MIHKO ISKWEW - MI empowers Indigenous women on a personal level for greater social change

I am Cree and from the George Gordon First Nation - Treaty 4 Territory. I grew up on my homeland and left for school and work. I have been working with First Nation people in education, training, and program development for a majority of my career. I find meaning and purpose in it every day! Seven years ago, I entered motherhood when I was blessed with one beautiful child. I am at a stage in my life where I recently started a business that focuses on supporting Indigenous women. Lastly, I am most peaceful when I am experiencing the outdoors either fishing or sitting next to a fire.
