Because the world needs women to show up, be our brilliant selves, and focus on more than just how we look. And because women won't experience life to the fullest until they feel good in and about their bodies.
WHY DO WE CARE?
Who wants to show up at the end of their life regretting all of the time, energy, and resources they wasted on trying to control their body and look differently? Who considers this time well spent when faced with what really matters in life? Learning how to feed and fuel our unique body so that we feel bright and brilliant can change our life and give us the best human experience possible! Glennon Doyle said it best: "Your body is not your masterpiece. It is the paintbrush you use to create your masterpiece each day."
HOW DO YOU STAND OUT IN YOUR FIELD?
I am a registered holistic nutritionist, but I also have an undergrad degree in nutrition and a masters degree in counselling. This means that I don't just tell people how to eat! I provide mindset coaching and teach women how to think about health and food so that they can continue to make the choices that they want to make. I inspire women to intentionally and courageously break free from the narrow cultural narrative about beauty. And my nutrition recommendations are individualized, simple, and realistic.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE WAY TO GET INSPIRED?
Give me time alone without my kids and I'll have 25 new ideas that I don't know what to do with! I also find conversations and connecting with women who are living in their brilliance and doing big things very inspiring.
WHAT NEEDS REVAMPING IN YOUR LIFE OR CAREER RIGHT NOW?
I need to put some time into the things that don't come easy or naturally to me - planning, creating systems, and other things that I avoid at all costs but that are going to create freedom and space in my business and life.
WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO WORK BEST?
Standing at the island in my kitchen or at a coffee shop. My absolute favourite is when I have an entire weekend to myself to work and create.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUR YOUNGER SELF AT THE START OF HER CAREER?
You don't need to see the whole path clearly or know HOW it will happen. Just focus on WHAT you want to happen and the path with appear one step at a time. And fear? Totally normal. It's not a sign that you shouldn't be doing this. It's a sign that you and your business are growing.
WHAT TYPE OF COLLABORATIONS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I collaborate with many other practitioners to create a better experience for our clients, including psychologists, social workers, chiropractors, naturopaths, life coaches, personal trainers, energy healers, sex and relationship coaches, and photographers.
