The Well presents "Curating a Conscious Wardrobe" with Leah Sookoo on Friday, April 27th, from 7-9pm. Come join us for a talk about clearing out clutter, creating a capsule closet and making mindful purchasing choices. This is an introduction session that will leave you empowered to rule your closet and feel good doing it. For a more thorough experience, attendees may book an extensive session to organize their closets and plan a new wardrobe.
For many, the closet clean-out is either a valuable ritual or begrudging task. Whether you feel lost in a sea of trends and styles; are overwhelmed by piles of old clothes; or simply want to build a timeless wardrobe, this session will provide tools and insights to help you eschew the old to make room for the new.
Leah will touch on practices that promote self-awareness, brands to focus on, colours and styles that best suit your lifestyle, sustainable materials, and conscious consumption. As an avid thrifter and believer in well-made pieces, Leah spends hours scouring the internet and second-hand stores to find the perfect items for herself and those around her. She believes that a curated wardrobe brings joy and freedom, and she's determined to help women discover confidence and beauty through the clothing they wear.
In conjunction with Fashion Revolution week, this event will touch on ethical and local brands, sustainable materials, and closed-loop consumption. Prepare to leave feeling empowered and ready to rule your closet (and the world).
